Who Needs Science?
That this is even fodder for "news" shows how little the rightwing media and much of the public in general cares about science these days. I wonder what's next? A Drudge Report flash perhaps reporting that people with head colds in fact may run record high fevers?

That the public cares so little about science is why global warming is so fervently worshipped to begin with! The *theory* that global warming does cause certain areas to get colder is very well-documented, but Gore's assertion that "the Bush policies are causing weather extremes" is simply asinine, and I wonder if he smokes his Wheaties for breakfast.
What about the actually measurable science of geological history? Does the million-variable, hypothetical global warming model trump that?
Talk about preying on a gullible audience, sheesh.
