Hillary Boosterism

Wow this is a really really good poll for Hillary. I'm surprised it hasn't made the rounds yet. Possibly because it is A) good for Hillary and there aren't many Hillary boosters in the blogosphere and B) bad for Wesley Clark and this unhealthy obsession refuses to die a graceful death in the same blogosphere.

There's an obsession with Clark? I missed that somewhere. The Hillary numbers aren't really surprising, disappointing, but not surprising.

What's the objection to Hillary Clinton? Is is that she's perceived as not progessive enough, or that she can't win, or both?

Check out the most recent DailyKos straw poll of Presidential preference:

Sure, the trend is going in the right direction, but a preference for Clark as the '08 nominee in the 25% range (and as high as 1/3 over the last year) shows to me that the netroots is wildly out of touch with actual Democratic primary voters, much less actual general election voters as a whole.

Clark ended up being such a bad candidate that to me anyone who still wants him to be the face of the Democratic Party has an unhealthy obsession.

Of course, the poll was taken in Arkansas. Hillary has quite a connection there.

Not sure if the netroots really CAN be in touch with the mainstream since many of the netroots persons do not actively engage in any part of the process other than to sit online and comment frequently.

Not sure who a preferred candidate would be here in Georgia. It should have been Edwards or Clark last go around, but didn't pan out that way in the primary.

maybe Edwards again, but I doubt it unless he or Elizabeth start making some southern rounds.
