I got a comment. Bush's bubble should be:
Hey Chirac, I know you didn't want us to liberate those oppressed Iraqis but now that you realize you're wrong I'll let you take care of your responsibility and send us some troops.

Chirac's real-life answer was something more like "we'll need (such and such) money and (such and such) oil contracts as payment."
Take the most cynical interpretation you want of Bush's words, that's fine. However, I don't see why Chirac should be cut so much slack.
And as for naming french fries "freedom fries," it was a very French thing for us to do -- it's a tribute!

I agree (about the oil contracts).
Didn't mean to let Chiraq off the hook (he's almost as big a part of the mess we're in as Bush)
